Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms”):
“Website” means www.UnifiedScience.com and its subdomains.
“Seller” / “Unified Science” / “We” / “Us” refers to Unified Science, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
“Customer” / “You” means any individual or legal entity purchasing goods or services from the Website.
“Products” refers to scientific books and related materials offered for sale.
“Contract” refers to the legally binding agreement formed upon order confirmation.

3. Scope of Application
These Terms govern all purchases made through the Website. By placing an order, the Customer accepts these Terms without reservation. They supersede any other document unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
4. Products and Availability
Product descriptions, prices, and availability appear on the Website. Unified Science strives for accuracy but cannot guarantee the absence of errors.
Products are offered while stocks last. If an item becomes unavailable after ordering, the Customer will be notified and may choose a refund or an alternative product.
5. Prices
Prices are listed in CHF and may include or exclude applicable taxes depending on the Customer’s location. Shipping costs, customs duties, and additional fees appear before checkout.
Unified Science may modify prices at any time; however, the applicable price is the one displayed at the time of purchase.
6. Orders
To place an order, the Customer must:
- Add Products to the cart and validate the order summary.
- Provide accurate billing and delivery details.
- Accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- Complete payment through a secure available method.
The order is final once payment is confirmed and the electronic confirmation email is issued.
Unified Science may refuse or cancel orders involving abnormal quantities, suspected fraud, or unpaid previous orders.
7. Payment
Payments are processed securely through certified third-party providers such as Stripe. Unified Science does not store full card details.
By confirming payment, you authorize the provider to debit your account for the total amount due, including taxes and shipping. Transactions are encrypted using SSL/TLS.
8. Delivery and Shipping
Products are shipped to the address provided by the Customer. Estimated delivery times and costs appear during checkout and are confirmed by email.
Delays may result from customs clearance, carrier issues, or force majeure. Unified Science is not liable for delays outside its control.
Risk of loss transfers to the Customer upon physical delivery.
9. Right of Withdrawal (EU / EEA Customers)
EU/EEA Customers have 14 days from receipt of goods to withdraw from the contract without justification, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU.
To exercise this right, notify admin@spacefed.com before the deadline. Returned items must be unused, in perfect condition, and in original packaging. Customers bear return shipping costs unless agreed otherwise.
The withdrawal right does not apply to:
- digital content delivered electronically once access is provided;
- sealed goods opened after delivery that cannot be returned for intellectual property or hygiene reasons.
Refunds are made using the original payment method within 14 days after we receive the returned goods.
10. Returns and Refunds (Non-EU Customers)
Customers outside the EU/EEA may return items within 30 days of receipt if defective, damaged, or not as described. Contact admin@spacefed.com before returning any Product.
11. Product Quality and Warranty
Unified Science ensures that Products conform to their descriptions and are free from material defects. If a defect is discovered, contact us within a reasonable time for a refund or replacement.
Liability is limited to the price paid for the Product.
12. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property related to the Website and Products belongs to ISF SA. Reproduction, modification, or redistribution is prohibited without prior written consent.
13. Liability
Unified Science is not liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages;
- incompatibility with Customer equipment;
- losses from misuse or failure to follow Product instructions.
Total liability will not exceed the purchase price. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where prohibited by law.
14. Data Protection
Personal Data collected during purchases is processed according to our Privacy Policy. By placing an order, you consent to this processing.
15. Force Majeure
Unified Science is not liable for failures or delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, including natural disasters, wars, strikes, epidemics, transport issues, or supplier failures.
16. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction (Global Scope)
These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Jurisdiction varies by Customer location:
Swiss Customers: Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of Geneva.
EU/EEA Customers: Rights align with EU consumer-protection laws. Claims may be brought before local courts or Geneva courts under EU Regulation 1215/2012.
UK Customers: UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies. Claims may be brought before UK courts or Geneva courts.
US, Canada, and International Customers: Disputes are governed by Swiss law, with exclusive jurisdiction in Geneva unless otherwise required by mandatory local consumer law.
17. Dispute Resolution
We encourage amicable resolution. Customers may contact admin@spacefed.com. EU residents may use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/
18. Amendments
Unified Science may modify these Terms at any time. Changes apply to future orders and are published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. The Terms active at the time of order confirmation apply.
